The head of Gala Bingo has resigned to go and take a new job outside the bingo industry.
Gala Coral's managing director of bingo and casino, Simon Longbottom, has stood down and
been replaced on a temporary basis by Mark Sergeant. Sergeant was Group Gaming Director
of Gala Coral before his promotion and was appointed to the position in July this year; previously
he had been Commercial Director of Gala Gaming Division since June 2008.Simon Longbottom is understood to be moving to a leisure industry job, probably in the pub sector.
